Time left for the first
match at "Dinamo"
On December 11 in CJSC “MC “Dynamo” office the fourth and final public meeting of the Working Group on VTB Arena park project implementation progress was held. The Working Group was comprised of representatives from CJSC “MC “Dynamo”, Dynamo Society Central Board, FC Dynamo, VTB Bank as well as Dynamo fan community reps.
Such round table meetings in VTB Arena park headquarters are conducted on a regular basis, hence sports community and primarily Club fans are able to get the latest first-hand updates on the execution of the project.
Mr. Andrei Peregoudov, Project Director, Senior Vice-President of JSC VTB Bank said that the construction progress is in line with the schedule. “We’re finishing the construction of the underground level floors where it is planned to locate leisure and entertainment center. The concrete is poured ahead of schedule, even a bit quicker than we expected. This year we have already secured a good beginning and shortly afterwards, upon the ending of the underground floors construction we will make it to the aboveground level. The roofing is planned for the summer. Everything runs smoothly, in full conformity with the schedule: the first match at the newly renovated Dynamo Stadium is to be hosted on October 22nd, 2017 which is Mr. Lev Yashin’s birthday. The capacity of the Stadium is 26 319 though this figure is not yet final, it can be reviewed in the course of the construction. The project envisages natural grass pitch strengthened with synthetic fibres. This combination will enable the pitch surface to withstand foul weather and cold season. Under one roof with the Stadium there will be hockey indoor arena which is designed to accommodate 11 488 supporters, it can easily be converted into a basketball court or concert venue. Designers’ solutions were based on the assumption that Dynamo Stadium will host up to 170 events of various nature per year”.
Mr. Carlo Melella, Dynamo Stadium Civil work construction manager observed that “the works are carried out right on schedule; a large amount of work has already been completed. The foundation concrete casting is 90% done and next August we’ll start roofing installation whereupon the scale and grandeur of the project will be noticeable to a far greater extent. There are 500 workers involved in the on-site works; shift work ensures the continuous operation for 24 hours a day. Fairly soon we expect the 9th and the last tower crane needed for further works to be erected”.
The following Working Group meeting will be held next year.
