match at "Dinamo"
On the 6th of June construction site of VTB Arena Park (renovation of Dynamo Central stadium and its adjacent area) was visited by Sergey Stepashin, Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation and the General Vladimir Pronichev, Chairman of All-Russia Society of Sports and Physical Training "Dynamo”.
Construction stages and on-site progress in accordance with renovation project of the stadium were on the agenda. Andrei Peregoudov, Senior Vice-President of JSC VTB Bank, VTB Arena park Project Director came out with a report about works that have been done already in 2012 – 2013 years. He highlighted that in spite of commencement of works rescheduling for summer 2013, pre-construction activities are made within the established deadline without any interruptions.
Andrei Peregoudov stated that design documentation is finalized both for VTB Arena park – Dynamo Central stadium project and multi-purpose urban complex Arena park which combines hotel and office premises and apartments as well. All required permission documentation is received; schedule for roads and public utilities laying on Dynamo stadium territory is approved; power-supply plan for the whole reconstruction site is developed and approved. Partial dismantling of the stadium is completed; this part of the stadium will be recreated later in accordance with laser measurement made beforehand. Currently archeological survey is being developed and excavation works are being conducted. Laying of water-supply junction along Raskova street is almost finished. The delegation also made a visit to the construction camp arranged by the general contractor “Codest international S.r.L” (Italy) responsible for construction of the commercial part of the project.
In the course of the visit Sergey Stepashin and Vladimir Pronichev expressed satisfaction with the dynamics and quality of pre-construction works, approved amendments introduced into the Stadium design such as reduction of the upper superstructure and also supported an initiative of VTB Arena park executives to lay a memorial capsule into the foundation of the future stadium. This ceremony is planned to be held in the near future.
It bears reminding that reconstruction of Dynamo stadium - one of the oldest Moscow stadiums – is scheduled to end up by 2017. Grand opening date ceremony is planned for the 22nd of October. This date is chosen to coincide with Lev Yashin’s birthday – legendary soviet soccer player.
