Sergey Sobyanin visited the Dynamo Stadium

On 18 March Sergey Sobyanin, the Mayor of Moscow, visited the Dynamo Stadium that is currently undergoing reconstruction. According to him, a new sports cluster is being born here and its heart will be VTB Arena – Dynamo Central Stadium named after Lev Yashin.

“The Dynamo Stadium is a unique sports facility. You not only create a new sports cluster, but also preserve the historical west stands, bas-reliefs, unique history of the Dynamo Stadium. A new sports cluster is being born in Moscow. In addition to the stadium, it will include the Sports Academy, the first-class sports park, so it will be a unique and hopefully a favorite place of the Muscovites for sports training. I want to thank you for continuing at this difficult time the investment project which we agreed about with you several years ago; a large-scale construction is in progress,” stated Mr. Sobyanin.

President – Chairman of the Board of VTB Bank Andrei Kostin stated that the implementation of VTB Arena park project is on schedule, “We are right on schedule, the quality of the works meets the target standards. At present we have financed about 40% of the overall project cost. Out of 110 billion rubles of the overall investment amount more than 45 billion rubles is spent. The first match at the Dynamo Stadium is to take place on 22 October 2017, on the birthday of the legendary football player.”

Senior Vice-president of VTB Bank, Project Manager of VTB Arena Park Andrei Peregoudov, “It seems to me that Moscow, as a city of developing sports, social infrastructure, now stands out sharply against European cities. Especially thanks to such facilities where innovative structural solutions are used for the first time in the world, for example, two arenas under the same roof, as we have here at the Dynamo Stadium. The support of the capital authorities, of VTB Bank management is very important for implementing this large-scale project.”
